iPSK, EasyPSK, DPSK, PPSK and MPSK, explained
They are vendor names for one capability: a unique pre-shared key per device, person or tenant on a single SSID. Purple calls it xPSK and runs it on every one: Cisco iPSK and EasyPSK, Ruckus DPSK, Extreme PPSK, Aruba MPSK, UniFi PPSK and Mist MPSK.
What your vendor calls it
iPSK and EasyPSK
Cisco. Both run on Purple.DPSK
Ruckus. Runs on Purple.MPSK
HPE Aruba and Juniper Mist. Both run on Purple.PPSK
Extreme and Ubiquiti UniFi. Both run on Purple.
FAQ
Common questions
Are PPSK and iPSK the same thing?
Yes. A unique pre-shared key per device, person or tenant on one SSID. Cisco calls it iPSK or EasyPSK, Ruckus calls it DPSK, HPE Aruba and Juniper Mist call it MPSK, and Extreme and Ubiquiti UniFi call it PPSK.
We run more than one vendor. Does that matter?
No. Mixed estates are supported, and Purple returns the key's VLAN and policy through RADIUS whatever the hardware calls it.
